Ophthalmology with international training in San Luis Potosí

Diagnosis, treatment, and surgery for the leading eye conditions — with the heritage of Barcelona's Barraquer Institute and modern technology.

Our history

Pioneers in ophthalmology for over 40 years.

Fundación Castañón set new standards for eye care in San Luis Potosí thanks to Dr. Ricardo Castañón Moreno's international training at the Barraquer Institute in Barcelona, one of the world's most respected ophthalmology centers.

Today we carry on that tradition, combining surgical experience, modern equipment, and honest assessments: we tell you what your case needs — nothing more.

  • Comprehensive eye examinations
  • Outpatient surgery in our own operating rooms
  • OCCHIO optical on-site for your eyewear
  • Close post-operative follow-up

Pediatric Ophthalmology

The first office 100% designed for children's eyes.

We created the first space fully conceived and designed for pediatric ophthalmology: a forest where children feel at ease — equipped to examine everyone from premature babies to teenagers, without leaving the room.

From day one of life

Eye assessments from birth — including newborn eye screening and detection of retinopathy of prematurity, the leading preventable cause of childhood blindness.

Everything in one place

Diagnostic equipment for every stage: from premature babies to teenagers. No exam requires leaving the room or changing locations.

Protecting tomorrow's vision

Amblyopia, strabismus, and refractive errors correct best when caught early. We care today for the eyes your children will see with all their lives.
